The sound of water can be so relaxing and I couldn't resist when Robert suggested that we spend the afternoon at Saguaro Lake. I will be the first to admit that the summer heat is my worst enemy. I an a native to Arizona but that doe not mean I enjoy the summer heat.

We drove to Pebble Beach. To my surprise it wasn't crowded. There were some families there but there was also plenty of room to walk up and down the shore and get into the water. I thought the water was cool but it felt great. We could see little fish swimming in the water and a couple of people on tubes and kayaks floated by.

It was overcast and I could tell a storm system was brewing in the Northeast sky above Four Peaks. The clouds helped to mask the sun and ease the heat. The mountains around the lake looked so beautiful with the combination of clouds and sun overhead. I could have stayed in the water longer then I thought about walking back to the parking lot through the rock and sand in the dark. I'm not afraid of the dark but I don't like snakes or scorpions and I've had my share of experiences with both. So just before sunset we decided it was time to go.

As we were leaving we decided to drive North to see if you could catch the storm. The clouds were moving fast and changing shapes with a rainbow streaming through them. It never rained but I able to take a few photos of the sky. We decide to drive home just in time to see the sunset. We ordered take out from our Favorite Chinese restaurant and headed home to relax.
